The Duluth Huskies are a mere five days away from their home opener at Wade Stadium, which also marks the 20th season that the franchise has called the Twin Ports home.

Members of this years squad commented on what it means to be part of an organization with this much history and to play in front of the Huskies faithful that have been part of this two decade journey.

“It’s an awesome atmosphere and it’s great city, that’s why I keep coming back. We are fortunate enough that it’s the 20th year, that we have a successful organization and we’re looking to keep the trend going,” said head coach Marcus Pointer.

“Duluth is such a great place. Our coaches are awesome here and we just learn a lot. It’s such a good culture down here, and it was an amazing place to be, I love it. Hopefully we’ll see more fan increase this year and it’s really great to see the local community get out here and watch us play, it’s really fun for them to support us,” added returning infielder Michael Hallquist.

The Duluth Huskies’ season opener is set for May 29th at Bismarck, and their home opener is June 2nd versus Minot.
