Cloquet’s Langenbrunner to enter U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame

He won a consolation Minnesota State High School Hockey title in 1993, two Stanley Cup championships, and now Cloquet’s own Jamie Langenbrunner is being inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.

Friday he was announced as one of five named to their Class of 2023.

The 48-year-old is joined by former players Dustin Brown and Katie King Crowley, longtime executive Brian Burke, and official Brian Murphy.

Langenbrunner won the Stanley Cup in 1999 with the Dallas Stars and in 2003 with the New Jersey Devils. In 18 NHL seasons he recorded 243 goals and 420 assists over 1,109 games.

He also captained Team USA to a silver medal in the 2010 Olympics.

The induction ceremony is December 6 in Boston.
