The Process: Push-ups

You’ve probably been doing push-ups since elementary school gym class, but Brigette Williams says they’re a complex movement that many people struggle with.

She says adding push-ups to your daily routine can improve cardiovascular health and engage a wide range of muscles across the body.

Williams recommends starting light. For beginners, practice working on push-ups every other day, doing 5-10 reps. As it gets easier, you can work your way up.
