Svälja Yoga’s mission to serve the community
The Lift learns the "Whole Body-Well Body" method with Svehl-ya Yoga.
Svälja Yoga founder Kyle Heyesen and Miriam Hanson the Director of the Yoga School Programs joined The Lift to talk about their mission to serve the community.
The studio is located on 1st West between Superior St. and 1st St. in downtown Duluth.
Svälja (pronounced “svehl-yah”) is a Swedish and translates to the verb swallow. It also is half of the Swedish term for barn swallow, lada svälja.
The studio aims to support people through their own unique healing journey, making sure that is financially accessible. Credits are available for purchase on a sliding scale or even free.
Svälja partners will PAVSA, or Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault; Life House; and Recovery Alliance Duluth to share yoga with those who really need it.
