July events to celebrate Summer

Jason Vincent shares his top July events to check out around Duluth.

Fourth Fest is July 4 at Bayfront Park. The event is free. Gates open at 4 p.m., music starts at 5 p.m., and the Upper Midwest’s largest fireworks show.

Movies in the Park runs all throughout Friday in July. Watch the following films outside at Leif Erickson Park. The event is put on by Downtown Duluth.

Sidewalk Days runs July 12 through 14 from 9 a.m.- 5p.m. each day. This Downtown DUluthh’s buggest shopping festival of the year with over 75 vendors and 15 resturants to grab a bite. The event covers Superior Street from Lake Avenue to 5th Avenue West.

Minnesota’s largest air show return this month. The Duluth Air and Aviation Expo is July 15 & 16. This year features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the U.S. Air Force A-10 Demonstration Team. As well as U.S Navy Leap Frogs, Aftershock Jet Truck, a B-52 Fly Over and so much more. Tickets are available here.

Finn Fest hasn’t been in Duluth since 2008, and it’s here this month from July 26 though 30. It’s dubbed as North America’s premiere experience of Nordic culture and learning with over 8,000 expected to come over these five days.
