The Duluth Playhouse’s Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is getting ready for its second weekend of performances.

Sifryn Oberon stars as Christopher in the play based on the book by Mark Haddon.

It tells the story of a 15-year-old autistic boy who investigates the death of his neighbor’s dog. He ends up going on a wild journey, learning things he didn’t expect to and making discoveries about himself along the way.

The story has connected with the community, “I’ve had audience members giving me hugs, sharing about either autistic family members– or autistic people who tell me how much it meant to them.”

Sif has a personal connection to the role as well, “I’m autistic myself so this has meant a lot to me to be a part of this.”

This also a sort of homecoming for the actor who attended the University of Minnesota Duluth. They told The Lift, “Duluth is such a really cool hub of arts, plus nature. I think that draws a lot of people here.”

You can see the play for yourself at the Norshor Theatre Thursday through Sunday.

Tickets are available online.
