TikTok has been hit with a lawsuit, accused of getting children hooked on its algorithm. The state of Utah alleges that TikTok has an addictive nature that harms kids, baiting them into unhealthy use of the app. In response to the lawsuit, TikTok says it has has industry-leading safeguards for young people.
X, formerly Twitter, is now offering users a new control, that limits replies to only verified accounts. It’s for all accounts, not just users who pay for “X premium”. The goal is to cut down on spam bots.
Get ready for a change of plan if you’ve been a longtime T-Mobile consumer. The carrier is forcing customers with older, unlimited plans to change to current options. Also, their monthly bills will go up. Notices go out next week. The change kicks in next month.
