Tech Bytes: Subscription costs for X users

In today’s Tech Bytes, Amazon’s start for holiday shopping. The new “Prime big deal days” will be October 10th and 11th. Just like July’s “Prime day”, you’ll have to be a “Prime” subscriber to take advantage of most of the savings. Expect big discounts on tech, clothes and plenty of other items.

Twitter, now called X, may not be a free platform for much longer. Elon Musk says X is moving to a small monthly payment for all users. He claims its the only way to combat bots on the site. Musk did not say exactly how much the subscription would cost or when it would take effect.

Ohio will be home to the first US facility to manufacture flying taxis. The state is joining with California-based Joby Aviation to produce electric planes. They’ll be able to take off and land vertically and carry four passengers up to one hundred miles. ETA is 2025.
