Learn Norwegian, get in touch with your roots!
There’s an opportunity for you to learn a new language in Duluth. It’s a language many of us are familiar with, Norwegian. A lot of our Northland roots are embedded in Scandinavian history.
If you are one of those people who has family letters, old photo albums or books laying around that are in Norwegian consider signing up for the language class Beginner with Bjorn. The classes start on June 19th and will run weekly on Wednesday’s, with the exception of the July 3rd.
The focus will be on basic Norwegian to get people more comfortable with the language. The dialect is a Bokmål style, which will get you on track to carry conversations.
Your teacher, Bjorn Killerud learned Norwegian as a second language. He says this is a great way to feel connected to your ancestors. With him, you’ll learn more about the culture, food and folk tales of Norway.
