Vehicle struck by gunfire in Biwabik Township

Authorities responded to a shooting near the Lakeland mobile park home in Biwabik Township at around 1:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9th 2023.

The driver who called police says someone had shot out one of his vehicle’s windows.

Shortly after a second 911 call was placed from a male reporting a vehicle had rammed into his parked vehicle.

Officials say the caller told police he shot at the vehicle with a shotgun.

According to a police report, the shooter was taken into custody and has been charged with several felony level offenses.

The driver of the vehicle did not receive any injuries.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office believes this is an isolated incident and is currently under investigation.
