U.S. marshals arrest suspect from Saturday’s shooting in Duluth

A suspect is now in custody in connection to last Saturday’s shooting in Duluth.

Police said that the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Mikiyel Deshone Patton on Tuesday evening in Columbia Heights.

The 36-year-old faces charges of assault, threats of violence, and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Investigators responded after the shooting in the Central Hillside. The complaint said Patton fired towards a man, but the bullet hit someone else instead.

That man reportedly had a bullet fragment lodged in his shoulder.

Patton is reportedly a known drug dealer and violent offender, according to the complaint.
