Three people and a cat escape early morning fire in Lincoln Park

Duluth firefighters rushed out to a blaze at a duplex in Lincoln Park on Thursday morning.

The call came in just after 4am, for 2402 W 4th Street.

According to the fire department, flames were visible on the second story.

All residents evacuated the building safely, along with one cat. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Damages are estimated at $25,000.

Duluth Fire Department thanks the Duluth Police Department, Public Works and Utilities, and Minnesota Power for their assistance on scene.

The fire is under investigation by Duluth Fire Department’s Fire Marshal’s office.
