Three men arrested for roles in alleged burglary near Bemidji

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says three men were arrested and charged for their roles in an alleged burglary Friday, June 30, in Bemidji Township.

Sheriff’s deputies say a homeowner on the 1300 block of Little Norway Avenue saw two men breaking into the home on their security camera system. They gave a clothing description to the authorities.

When two Beltrami County deputies arrived, they saw a car leaving the scene, stopped it, and found two men crouched down in the backseat wearing clothes that matched the homeowner’s description.

They allegedly admitted to forcing in the door to steal property. The sheriff’s office says the stolen property was found in the car and returned to the owner.

Jon Eli Raisch was charged with first and second degree burglary, and Devin Scott Proffit was charged with second degree burglary. The driver of the vehicle, Jordan Lee Jones, was also arrested and charged with second degree burglary and driving while impaired.

Bemidji Police Department officers also responded.
