St. Scholastica renamed field after longtime soccer coach

Community member gathered at the College of St. Scholastica to celebrate the renaming of Saint’s field Friday evening. The field is now named Kenny Harkins Field, after longtime coach Kenny Harkins. In 1978, Harkins was named the first men’s soccer coach. He then moved on to be head coach of the women’s soccer program in 1994. Harkins was also inducted into the St. Scholastica Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017.

The field is set to undergo several renovations between 2023-2024 including adding new turf and several other unnamed projects.
