A Taste of Greece returns to Duluth

A Taste of Greece, which has been running for the past 31 years is returning this weekend at Duluth Marshall school in Duluth.

Mark your calendars for the 31st annual “Taste of Greece” festival sponsored by the Twelve Holy Apostles Church. The event at Marshall School, 1215 Rice Lake Road in Duluth is open to everyone. Come learn about the Greek heritage.

“The Taste of Greece is a highlight of summer in Duluth,” festival chair Gene Rebeck said in a release. “We welcome everyone to partake of our authentic Greek dishes—gyros, shish-ka-bobs, spinach pie, salads, pastries, and coffee—and to come see dancers perform traditional Greek dances.”

Come for the mouth-watering Greek food to purchase, including gyros, shish-ka-bobs, spinach pie, delicious homemade breads and pastries. There will also be Greek coffee and iced frappes.

  • Saturday, June 15 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m
  • Sunday, June 16 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m
  • Marshall School, 1215 Rice Lake Road in Duluth

Enjoy folk dancing in traditional Greek costumes, and music. Guests can eat in or carry out. An express food tent and an express pastry tent make it easy to make a quick stop for lunch, dinner, or dessert all weekend. The bookstore will be open and the on-site chapel to allow guests to discover the history and traditions of the Orthodox Church.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to local charitable causes in support of the Twin Ports community and its needs.

Admission and parking are free, and the event is open to the public.
