Nurses helping nurses

When it comes to choosing a career or place to work, it is valuable to know precisely what that job or career will entail. That’s certainly true in the field of nursing.

Finding the perfect place where your talents and interests align with the job can be the difference between a satisfying professional future, or years of uncertainty.

Thursday night, Essentia Health hosted a networking event for registered nurse students, recent RN graduates or RNs looking for a new opportunity.

“It’s about making connections,” Jane Vortherms, nurse retentionist at Essentia Health said. “You may be interested in health care, but you’re not quite sure what to do. We can make those connections, connecting you to the specialty that you want, to a person to call and answer whatever questions that you have.”

This is the first networking event in this new school year, but it won’t be the last. Vortherms says area nursing professionals can expect their next nurse networking event sometime this winter.
