The North Shore Adventure Park reopens for their fifth season Friday, May 26 at 10 a.m. They offer plenty of climbing and zip-lining experiences for the whole family.

Colin Lynch, the manager at North Shore Adventure Park talked more about their fifth season compared to the COVID-19 pandemic. “So 2020 and 2021 were actually extremely busy years for us. We’ve been trying to find what our normal is because we had such a variable event that happened right at the beginning of our our time here on the North Shore.” Lynch said. “The entire North Shore had a pretty wild couple of years because of COVID. A lot of people were looking for opportunities where they could drive to a destination and be outside.”

One of the climbers Lily D’Amico, talked about a girl’s trip with her family at North Shore Adventure Park. “Well, I’m very competitive person. So when I saw that my mom wasn’t finishing it and I had to because I knew I had to win and beat her in it, so I decided to finish the whole thing.” D’Amico said.

D’Amico recently finished one of the toughest courses offered, at the North Shore Adventure Park and she gave some advice. “Just start with easy courses, and then once you get done, something I suggest would be take breaks. Because even taking one break after climbing, it was still really difficult to do the hardest one.” D’Amico said.

The North Shore Adventure Park also has a new feature this season, they will be offering axe throwing. The axe throwing attraction will open in July 2023 with six lanes that can accommodate up to 24 throwers. Two axe throwing leagues are available during the summer. There will be a competitive adult league for ages 16 and up and a social/family league for ages 12 and up.

The North Shore Adventure Park is also the only forested Adventure Park in Minnesota and the will be offering a Sunday Special, with a $5 off discount. Details are available on their website. For other North Shore stories you can look here.
