Many changes are coming to Many Rivers Montessori.

A significant project which will add an outdoor classroom and a rooftop garden will soon begin at Many Rivers Montessori school.

“We have had to take over our cafeteria offer as a classroom this year, which is where our stage is,” said Montessori’s current Head of School, Mark Neidermeier. “And so, when we add the new classroom, we’re going to be able to return our cafeteria and stage to its use, and then we’ll have this beautiful new classroom.”

The 109-year-old school building has been significantly modernized since many rivers moved in during 2018, but the school’s administration says they need more space to accommodate students.

“It’s really a capstone for our campus,” said Neidermeier. “I mean, the classroom itself is for fourth, fifth and sixth graders, but the outdoor classroom and the rooftop garden for all age levels, there are going to be a great resource for all of our students here.”

Many Rivers Montessori was founded in 2014 and enrolls 205 students from sixteen-months through eighth grade.
