Two men arrested in Eveleth in connection to kidnapping and assault

UPDATE: Two men have been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and assaults in Eveleth.

According to authorities a 37-year-old man was booked on probable cause criminal sexual conduct and a 29-year-old was booked on probable cause criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping. Both men are from Eveleth.

Authorities say the kidnapping and assault took place over multiple days starting on November 27th.

A women was sexually assaulted and beaten and that a man was kidnapped and taken to 413 Grant Avenue in Eveleth against his will, according to authorities. The victims escaped and reported the incident to the Burea of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) on December 1st.

The victims are in stable condition.

The incident is still under investigation by the BCA, St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, and the Eveleth and Gilbert police departments.

ORIGINAL STORY AS FOLLOWS: Multiple squads have a section of downtown Eveleth blocked off, in what some are reporting is a building occupied by the Hells Angels.

St. Louis County has their Emergency Response Team vehicle there.

Witnesses said they also saw the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension on scene.
