Justin Liles: Scattered Showers through the weekend

On and off rain chances are expected through the week and weekend with occasional thunderstorms possible as well. Some high clouds will continue to move in overnight as an upper-level wave moves in from the west. This may lead to some isolated showers and possibly a thunderstorm in our western area tonight and Wednesday.

Similar weather is likely on Thursday with a continuation of subtle shortwaves passing through, bringing spotty rain chances. More warm air should promote a slow increase in temperatures. A pesky low situated over western Ontario does not look to move much by the end of the week and into the weekend.

Additional chances of rain will linger through the weekend as more pieces of energy spin around the low and settle over the northern parts of the region. All this really means is that with enough daytime heating any moisture available could spark off a random thunderstorm during the evening hours this weekend.
