Less than a month ago, Jon Adams was driving his truck in Kentucky, when he was a serious crash.

“All of the sudden, I saw this car do like 4 or five flips,” he recalled. He made sure he could pull over safely, and called 9-1-1. Then he went out to see if he could help.

“By the time I got to the vehicle, three of the four passengers were out already. But the last person needed help getting out. So helped pull him out,” he shared.

He also managed to keep the patients all together before ambulances arrived.

Then he shared his dash cam footage with authorities, before heading on his way. He also told his manager about it.

Later though, is when he found out about the Highway Angel award.

“One of my friends shared the video I made, and then my company reached out to me and said they thought I was eligible for this award.. When I got the call a week ago that I had won, I was very honored,” Adams added.

The Highway Angel award is from the Truckload Carriers Association.

Adams drives for Prime, Inc. He has law enforcement training and is a veteran as well.
