Patrick Jakubek loves hockey. And the Air Force veteran loves his country.

He’ll be honored as an official ‘Guardian of the Game’ down at the Minnesota Wild Game on Saturday, October 21st.

“Prior to the puck drop, they’re going to have me down on the ice. I’m hoping to meet Hatty, the new rescue dog which will be donated to a worthy veteran,” he said.

Jakubek grew up playing the sport in Duluth.

His advice to other veterans who might be having a hard time? “There might be some tough days and tough times. But you can still do some good things.”
