Duluth Election: Meet and Greet with Tara Swenson
On Sunday July 23rd, Duluth Councilor candidate for District 4 held a Meet and Greet session at the Chaddy Shack Indoor Golf and Pub on W Superior Street.
The event was tagged Meet and Greet Family fun Day with Tara Swenson. In the spirit of community building Tara said she is holding this event in order to listen and understand what the people need and want improvements on has she runs for office.
“It’s so important to connect with the community as a city councilor and having this event gives citizens the opportunity to do just that.” Tara said.
She also added that “I’m very passionate about families and connecting families, and I want to make sure that they feel safe in this community. So, I thought of bringing them here down in Lincoln Park, where it’s a really growing area of our community, and then bringing in some family fun activities so that the kids can be here and then parents can also have conversation.”
Tara Swenson lives in the Piedmont neighborhood in Duluth. She has two children ages 3 and 6 and her husband is a union worker in the construction industry. Some of her areas of focus include core city services, public safety and a better Duluth for all!
Primary election is Tuesday August 8th while the General election is scheduled for Tuesday November 7th with early in-person voting and absentee voting beginning September 22, 2023.
