Cancer patients at Essentia and St. Luke’s received a warm gift today, literally. For the 8th year, Miller Hill Subaru teamed up The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to bring blankets.

The pediatrics patients received arts and crafts kits.

“Partnerships with groups like the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and Miller Hill Subaru, help us support our patients in ways that let them know that their community and all the surrounding organizations have their back and are here to support them,” Johannah Orman, a certified child life specialist at Essentia explains.

“We provide medication. We provide cures for cancer. We don’t always have the soft comfort items… the way that Leukemia Lymphoma Society and Subaru can.”

LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout their 70-year history, funding breakthrough research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures, and providing support and advocacy for patients.

Patients also received messages of hope in their fight against cancer.
