Rollover crash in Jackson County, Wisconsin

At 8:50 am on Saturday, Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers responded to a one vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 12 in the Township of Alma Center. The crash occurred on U.S. 12 WB at U.S. Highway 12, approximately half a mile north of Gilbert Road in Jackson County near Merrillan.

The vehicle’s driver, an 81-year-old man from Humbird, Wisconsin, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported by ambulance to a landing zone and then flown to Marshfield Hospital.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, a medical condition may have been a factor in the cause of the crash. Alcohol was not involved, and the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol. Assisting agencies included Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Black River Falls Fire, Black River Falls EMS, and Life Link.
