LSC shows off aviation program
Lake Superior College (LSC) held an open house to show off their aviation programs to prospective students on Friday April 18th.
It was a great opportunity for students to learn more about the options they have in the aviation field, from mechanics to piloting.
“We thrive on these hands-on programs,” said David Kline the Vice President of advancement and external relations at LSC. “Really giving students, the opportunity to dig in, to learn from the books yes, but also to get in the cockpit and to learn all the instruments and learn how it works with an expert and really get those hours so they can stay in the air.”
LSC’s aviation programs draw people from all over, especially with local partnerships with the Duluth International Airport, and other aviation companies.
This marks the 20th anniversary of the flight school, and 15th anniversary of the mechanics program, which have been huge for LSC.
LSC says there are a few more spots left, you can check out their aviation programs here.
