- Sunday, April 21 – Spaghetti Dinner to benefit the Hill City 4th of July Celebration. Brought to you by the Hill City Events Committee. $10 per plate – Children under 5 are free. At the Hill City Fire Hall from 4:00-7:00 pm.
- Monday, April 22 – The public is welcome to join the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation staff and the Lake Superior Rose Society for the 2024 Annual Raising of the Roses event at the Rose Garden. The open house-style, community event will be from 9 AM – 3 PM. Expert rose raisers will be on hand to teach volunteers about the Minnesota Tip Method. Groups, families, and individuals are invited to participate. If you are interested in participating, please arrive anytime during active event hours at the Rose Garden, located between 12th and 13th Avenues East on London Road. On-street parking and the parking lot east of the Rose Garden will be available. Dress for the weather. All tools and supplies will be provided, including work gloves.
- Tuesday, April 23 – The St. Louis River: A Virtual Tour of Recreation Opportunities from 5:30 PM 7:30 PM at the Clyde Iron Works, 2920 West Michigan Street in Duluth. This event is free and open to the public. Come enjoy free pizza and thoughtful conversations! We will also be sharing information on how you can become eligible to win a prize by participating in a fun “Recreating in the St. Louis River: A Virtual Scavenger Hunt”.

The evening will feature three performances of Caribbean steel band music – “Pan in my System,” by Ray Holman; “Trini Mambo,” by Teralyn Trace; and “Hard Times,” by Len “Boosgie” Sharpe. Also included will be music from West Africa, specifically styles of drumming from Mali and Ghana. Tickets are $5 and available at the door. - Friday, April 26 – Special Olympics Roadrunners 8th annual Pasta & Meatball Dinner from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 8th Street South & 12th Avenue in Virginia. - Friday, April 26 – Sunday, April 28 – The Duluth Playhouse Youth Theatre presents Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr. at the NorShor Theatre. This one-act musical adaptation features 30 talented young performers from the Twin Ports area. Performances are Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. (ASL Interpreted performance, Sunday, April 28 at 2 p.m. (Relaxed performance,) and 5:00 p.m. Tickets are now on sale. - Saturday, April 27 – Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing will host their annual White Elephant Sale from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Hibbing Memorial Building Arena. The hockey floor, bleachers and hallways will be filled with gently used items including toys, clothes, dishes, furniture, tools, holiday decorations and more. Sloppy Joes and dessert lunch will be available to purchase. Gently used items can still be dropped off Wednesday-Friday the week of the sale. - Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 – The Great Lakes Academy of Fine Art is hosting its eighth annual Student and Instructor Exhibition at 810 W 3rd St, Duluth. Work created by students in the youth, part time and full time programs, as well as faculty, will be on display. This work will also be available for purchase. Friday from 5 PM – 9 PM, Saturday from noon – 5 PM. This event is FREE to the public.

- Saturday, May 11 – The Saint Louis County Historical Society and its Veterans Memorial Hall are holding a 5k to honor the memory of Command Sergeant Major John S. Werner. Start time is 9AM with a short ceremony prior at The Other Place Bar & Grill, 3930 East Calvary Rd, Duluth, MN 55803. The entry fee is $30. - Wednesday, May 22 – Community Connect Event at the Hibbing Memorial Arena, 400 E 23rd Street in Hibbing from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Community members facing homelessness or financial challenges are invited to attend this free event. Organized in collaboration with local partners and inspired by the national Project Homeless Connect. Arrowhead Transit is offering free rides to and from the Community Connect event.
