Drum group Taiko Arts Midwest performs at UWS

The University of Wisconsin-Superior hosted the Japanese Drum group Taiko Arts Midwest for a free workshop and performance for the campus and community on Tuesday.
The workshop happened before the performance in Thorpe Langley Auditorium.
Taiko is the Japanese word for drum and refers to the modern style of playing. The high-energy performace art combines music, dance, martial arts, athletics, and culture.
The event was sponsored by UW-Superior’s TRIO Student Support Services, Music Department, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Department.
