UMD’s Emma Soderberg earns national netminding honor for March

University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey’s Emma Soderberg has been named the nation’s netminder for March.

On Friday the senior was tabbed as the Hockey Commissioners Association’s Goaltender of the Month. This comes after Soderberg helped lead the Bulldogs to a NCAA championship game appearance.

The Jarved, Sweden native went 3-1 in the national tournament, recording 146 saves and a shutout for a .957 saves percentage.

Soderberg finished the 2021-2022 collegiate season with five shutouts, a 17-8-0 overall record, and a .925 saves percentage.
