UMD men’s hockey preview: Dog’s prepare to take on Denver

The UMD men’s hockey team had a nice day of practice on Friday after their shutout win against Michigan Tech.

All in preparation for the NCAA Regional Final against the familiar opponent of Denver, where they are going to have to bring their "A" game to keep the wins coming.

"Obviously things are more magnified this time of year, and it is one thing we talk about a lot with our team. You just have to stay with games, there is things you can control and there are things you cant control," stated head coach Scott Sandelin.

"It is different this year coming in and knowing that it could be your last game. I like the pressure though, I think that makes the games fun that why you play college hockey. I’m just trying to take it game by game and enjoy every moment," added Forward Kobe Roth.

This season against Denver, UMD has a record of three wins and two losses.

The Bulldogs are however tied in the goal department, as each team has registered 14 goals against each other.

Look to Denver though to come out hungry, as in their last meeting UMD shut them out 2-0, to advance to the NCHC finals.
