East’s Will Van Scoy commits to UWRF, Denfeld’s Hughes to CSS

Duluth East’s Will Van Scoy has committed to play basketball for UW-River Falls.

While Denfeld football’s Brendan Hughes is going across town to the College of St. Scholastica.

A senior guard, Van Scoy rebounded from a torn ACL to finish second on his team in points, averaging around 14 a game.

Hughes, a quarterback, will join fellow Hunter Carter Kilroy as a Saint next season.
