Sabrina Ullman: Much warmer week ahead

Warmer weather ahead January 21

Temperatures will be in the 20s to 30s all week.

It’s been a decently quiet stretch of weather, and for most of the Northland, that trend will continue. Areas near the international border will get a trace to an inch of snow tonight into early Monday.

A light mix is possible for the rest of the area Monday night into Tuesday, but hardly any accumulation is expected. Areas north of Two Harbors could get up to an inch. International Falls and other areas near the border can expect one to two inches of snow from tonight to Tuesday afternoon.

There is a chance of mixed precipitation Thursday, but nothing major is in the forecast. With warmer weather ahead, this will be a great week to enjoy time outdoors.

Overnight lows will be in the teens tonight. Starting Tuesday, overnight lows will only drop to the 20s to low 30s.

Our afternoon highs will also be noticeably warmer. Monday will be in the 20s to low 30s. Temperatures peak Wednesday with most of the Northland expected to reach the upper 30s.
