Sabrina Ullman: More fog tonight

Dense fog February 4

Tonight will have more dense fog, lasting into Monday morning.

Dense fog has already reduced visibilities to around a mile for portions of Koochiching, Itasca, and northern St. Louis Counties. Similar to last night, we will see fog become more widespread in northern Minnesota overnight, lasting into the morning.

A Dense Fog Advisory as been issued for areas west of the Twin Ports. It will be in effect from 9 pm tonight to noon Monday.

Overnight lows will be near 30 degrees. Monday will be cloudy with afternoon highs in the 40s. We will continue to reach the 40s for the next few days.

On Wednesday, a low pressure system will enter from the west. A few light rain showers are possible in the afternoon. Rain will become widespread overnight Wednesday, lasting through Thursday.

Rainfall accumulations are expected to be half an inch to an inch. Cooler air will usher in as this system exits, bringing a chance of light snow. Snow accumulations will likely be a dusting to an inch.

The Storm Track Weather Team will continue to keep an eye on the mid-late week rain/snow and provide updates on expected totals as it gets closer.
