Justin Liles: An interesting week!

March 18th: Light snow tonight

Light snow tonight

Light snow is expected tonight into Tuesday, mainly for the MN Arrowhead into parts of NW WI. Light lake effect snow is also possible for the South Shore again Tuesday into early Wednesday. Another round of light snow moves through, mainly south of US Highway 2 on Thursday. Breezy winds, low humidity, and temperatures generally at or below normal also persist through much of the work week. Snow is expected to affect much of the Northland Thursday and Thursday night. Snowfall may linger into Friday morning for northwest Wisconsin near Lake Superior. The heaviest snowfall will likely fall Thursday afternoon and evening across central Minnesota into Wisconsin, where snowfall amounts of 2 inches or greater are highest. The Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes may be slick and require observation and keep a track on your weather forecast.

By this weekend, a messy spring storm will impact the Midwest Sunday through Tuesday. Accumulating snow, wintry mix and heavy rain will affect the area. The heaviest precipitation is expected Sunday into Monday. Travel conditions may be adversely affected. Snowfall amounts and the locations of the heaviest amounts are not yet known and are expected to change. You will want to monitor this forecast for updates and possible travel impacts too.
