Justin Liles: A quiet week ahead

March 4th: A quiet week

A quiet week

This week won’t be quite as extreme as last week. Temperatures won’t be in the 50s one day, only to drop into the -20 or colder range with wind chills. Let’s not forget that after the bitter cold and snow we saw temperatures return to the 50s and 60s Friday and Saturday. This was followed by hail and thunderstorms in Wisconsin Sunday. The weather swings last week were incredible. Tonight, high pressure will move in and clear out the skies. Temperatures will drop into the single digits along the International Border to the mid to upper teens the farther south you go.

Sunshine will take over Tuesday ahead of an area of low pressure that will move into parts of our region. There is chance of light snow late Wednesday into Thursday as the low passes to our northwest into Canada. By the weekend temperatures look to climb into the 40s around most of the region, with warmer temperatures to our south. Some lake effect snow is possible along the south shore Saturday.
