Updated rainfall reports for September 5-6

Tuesday brought some much needed rain to the Northland with many areas picking up between one and three inches.

Duluth set a daily record for September 5 with 2.77″. The previous record was 2.51″ in 1876. This one day brought Duluth almost as much rain as we had for all of July and August. The two month total was 3.05″.

Ashland was another official climate site that set a daily record. Ashland’s 1.74″ beat the previous 1.48″ in 1911.

  • 6:00 PM – Wind gusts of 46 mphy – 13 NE Sand Bay – Ashland County
