It’s a morning for the defroster and a jacket. Temperatures along and north of the Iron Range have fallen below freezing for the first time of the season. Temps trend warmer looking east across northwest Wisconsin where lingering clouds have kept us in the 40s. Patchy fog is also a contender, so be sure to have the headlights on for your commute. Fog should clear by mid-morning with sunshine taking over. The afternoon will be a touch warmer than yesterday with highs ranging from upper 50s to mid-60s.

Tonight will be another cool one with lows in mid-30s to mid-40s under clear skies. A south wind kicks in on Thursday to send highs in the 70s for the majority of the region. We look west near International Falls for rain chances to arrive in the afternoon. Widespread rain chances sweep the Northland overnight. Friday’s lingering showers now look to stay mostly limited to northwest Wisconsin and the Arrowhead. The weekend will be rather quiet with highs in the 60s.
