Snow is likely to continue through the morning, becoming less widespread midday. Additional accumulations are expected to be less than half an inch for our Friday. Afternoon highs will be in the upper 30s to low 40s.

As temperatures warm slightly, mixed precipitation is likely in the afternoon followed by rain showers in the early evening. A few spotty showers are possible tonight, but we will be mostly dry in time for prep sports.

While a rain coat is not needed for tonight’s football games, a warm jacket is recommended. A few areas will stay above freezing until late tonight, but most of the Northland will drop to the low 30s by 9pm.

Overnight lows will be in the twenties. Snow showers are possible Saturday morning, again becoming a wintry mix midday and rain in the afternoon. More snow is likely Sunday, mostly for the Arrowhead and the South Shore. From Sunday evening to Tuesday morning, portions of the South Shore east of Ashland could see more than half a foot of accumulation. Accumulations elsewhere will be under 2 inches.
