Sabrina Ullman: Less of a lake influence today

Today will be cloudy with a chance of a few showers before 9 am. Dense fog is likely to continue in some areas until 11 am. An east wind will become northwest in the afternoon.

After a few days with quite the air conditioning from Lake Superior, today will have less of a temperature difference. Afternoon highs will be in the 70s in northern Wisconsin and along the North Shore. Much of northern Minnesota will have afternoon highs close to 80 degrees.

Patchy fog is likely tonight. Overnight lows will be in 50s. Rain is possible for northern Minnesota, becoming more widespread by midday Friday.

Friday will have afternoon highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and rain chances for most of the day. Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon.
