Sabrina Ullman: Another round of rain Friday evening

Tonight will be partly cloudy with overnight lows close to 40 degrees. Areas along the South Shore could have a few lingering showers with up to a quarter of an inch of accumulation.
Friday will be mostly cloudy with afternoon highs ranging 49 degrees in Grand Marais to the low-60s west of the Twin Ports. We stay dry through the morning, but rain chances return Friday afternoon as a system moves in from the west. The rain will be the most widespread between six and ten at night.
A few light showers may linger into Saturday morning. Total accumulations for this next round of rain will be mostly a tenth of an inch or less. Areas along the international border may be more in the 0.3-0.5” range.
Most of Saturday and all of Sunday will be dry. More rain is expected late Monday night into Tuesday, with additional chances Wednesday and next Thursday.
Afternoon highs will be in the 30s and 40s starting Wednesday. We could see overnight lows in the 20s by the end of next week.
