Sabrina Ullman: A few flurries today; more snow Wednesday night

Today will be cloudy with afternoon highs in the 20s to low 30s. For the Twin Ports area, temperatures will drop a degree or two by the afternoon.

There will be a few flurries here and there, but only a tenth of accumulation is expected for most of the area today. Areas along the South Shore east of the Bayfield Peninsula may have an inch of accumulation.

Tonight’s lows will range from the single digits towards Bemidji to the low 20s in northern Wisconsin.

Another round of snow is possible Wednesday night into Thursday, with 1-3 inches of accumulation likely. Cold and windy conditions are likely Friday through the weekend, with wind chills in the -20s Saturday morning through Sunday.

A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 25. North wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon.

Snow likely, mainly after 7am. Cloudy, with a high near 22. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Friday

A chance of snow, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 13. Blustery, with a northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday

A slight chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 8. Blustery, with a northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
