Temperatures are much kinder to us this morning. Instead of waiting at the bus stop in 20s and 30s, we do so with many areas within a few degrees of 50. The milder morning is thanks to cloudy skies ahead of the first of two weather systems that will bring showers to the region today into the weekend. Scattered light to moderate rain have filled out much of the Northland overnight, and we’ll continue to see bands of showers move across the region throughout the day as a weak low pressure system meanders across Minnesota.

Showers linger tonight into Thursday morning, then rain chances move east across northwest Wisconsin through the day Thursday as the system treks into the U.P. Thursday night into Friday morning will be generally dry with some showers trying to persist in north central Minnesota. A second low pressure system will swing across the region from northwest to southeast bringing scattered showers arriving Friday afternoon and tapering off Saturday morning.
