Brandon Weatherz: Staying quiet for holiday travel

November 21: Staying quiet for holiday travel

Daily forecast from the Storm Track Weather Team

Our Tuesday starts off with an early round of light rain and snow showers bringing little to no accumulation. These taper off to the east through the morning behind an exiting cold front and clouds will begin to erode from the west. A breezy northwest wind on the backside of the front will send cooler air into the region and allow temps to fall. Highs will be set in the morning ranging from mid-30s to low 40s, then temps fall into mid-20s to low 30s by 6 pm.

We’ll then bottom out in teens to low 20s tonight under few clouds. Wednesday features increasing cloud and breezy southwest winds responsible for a brief warm up. Highs range from mid-40s to upper 30s looking from south to north across the Northland. A cold front passes Wednesday evening and opens the gates to cooler air to end the week.

We’re on track to enjoy quiet weather for travel around Thanksgiving with cold being the only contender. Thursday starts in teens then stays in 20s with mostly sunny skies. Friday starts with teens and single digits, then features more sunshine and highs in the 20s for most. The weekend looks to be rather seasonable with mostly cloudy skies.
