We’re settling into a quiet stretch of weather with the freeze and thaw cycle allowing for gradual melting. High pressure moving into the region today will provide sunshine and lighter winds. Temps this morning begin ranging from single digits near Bemidji to 20s for much of northwest Wisconsin. We top off comfortably in mid-30s.

A lack of cloud cover and light winds tonight will allow temps to fall into single digits away from Lake Superior. After this chilly start to our Friday, we climb into mid-30s to low 40s across the Northland. The quiet trend continues this weekend with thicker cloud cover on Saturday and a few flurries in far northern Minnesota.
