Justin Liles: Turning much cooler tomorrow

Water and lots of it continues to headline the weather future. Flooding is the word over the next 24 to 36 hours. Snow is melting fast with temperatures climbing into the 60s and 70s. Several parts of the Northland are seeing flood warnings near Mellen and Odanah on the Bad and Tyler Forks Rivers. The St. Louis River looks to get close to peak late Saturday into Sunday. Winds will turn off the lake and keep us much cooler around the shoreline through the remainder of the week.

Temperatures through east central Minnesota and Wisconsin will likely continue to see temperatures in the low to mid 70s. There is a chance of rain along the International border Thursday night. Some thunderstorms are possible are the region Friday and Saturday. By Sunday, temperatures look to drop enough at night heading into Monday morning where some snow is possible. This is something we will watch closely as the track and the temperatures profiles will determine what and how much precipitation we will get.
