A massive low spinning north of the border will bring in several chances of rain/snow through the weekend. Conditions are going to be much cooler than average through the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Part of the Northland north of HWY 2 may see as much as 1-2” of snow by Saturday morning. Remember all of this will likely fall on grassy surfaces only.

The big story will be the low as it eventually will create a northerly winds off the lake. The lake effect snow machine will turn on Sunday through Tuesday morning. Some of the higher terrain may see 6-9” or more of snow. Another round will follow in late Wednesday through next Friday and generate another 6-9” of snow. This means by this time next Friday portions of Iron County in Wisconsin and Ontonagon County in the U.P of Michigan could have 1-2ft of snow on the ground.
