Showers and thunderstorms are just around the corner. After experiencing less then an inch of rain over the last two months, much needed rain is coming starting late Thursday and lasting through the weekend. Now, it doesn’t appear severe weather is going to be in question. We may see some parts of the Northland north of the Twin Ports see some gusty winds and smaller hail.

Conditions do not look favorable for anything more severe. Most of Northland may see as much as 1-2” or more of rain late Thursday through Monday morning. Temperatures will also cool down a bunch throughout the weekend too. Many of these upper 80s and lower 90s will give way to 60s and 70s.

More importantly the humidity levels being felt farther inland will begin to decrease this weekend too. Our fire dangers and well as our current drought will finally get the much deserved attention it needs.
