Once again, more clouds will hang around tonight in advance of our next weather make coming tomorrow. Showers and thunderstorms are expected on Friday, with additional chances for on and off precipitation through the weekend into next week. A few storms on Friday afternoon and evening could become strong to severe, capable of producing large hail up to 1″ and damaging winds. The worst areas will likely be west toward Brainerd and pushing north to the International Border by Friday evening.

This will be round 1. Round 2 will bring another shot of rain with heavy rainfall potentially leading to localized flooding across northeast Minnesota and Douglas Friday night into Saturday morning. This round will likely Saturate the north shore once again. Round 3 will arrive Sunday for most of northern Wisconsin. Unseasonably warm temps are likely to continue for the next week, with very warm temps for late September this weekend. Temps will be increasing to well above normal this weekend, with highs reaching into the mid-70s to low 80s on Sunday.
