Justin Liles: Periods of rain showers the rest of the week

October 24th: Periods of rain showers

Periods of rain showers

Cloudy skies will stick around for the next week. We aren’t expecting to see much sunshine. Periods of rain are also likely during this time frame. A few thunderstorms could be found today in central Wisconsin. The Twin Ports region may see some light rain around 8pm this evening. After waking up to widespread fog around the region, winds off the lake and overcast skies will continue.

Showers along with more fog will return by Thursday. Thursday may even produce a few rumbles of thunder in northern Wisconsin. By Thursday night cold air will fill in behind the low responsible for the rain. Snow is possible along the International Border. Now, because the ground is still warm, there isn’t much confidence in seeing anything stick to the ground.

More light snow mixed with rain is possible late Saturday into Sunday. This will move in from the southwest. Once again not much is expected. Colder air will definitely be noticed as highs will stay in the low to mid 30s through the weekend and beginning of next week. All who plan to be out this weekend with costumes on or next week taking the kids out, please remember to dress warm.
