Justin Liles: More fog, heat returns tomorrow for most of the region

Once again, a warm front draped to our south hasn’t progressed any farther Northward. This means cooler conditions prevailed across most of the region, winds were off the lake again, and fog isn’t done yet. We will likely see the return of some fog tonight into tomorrow morning. However, unlike last night there is a small chance form some light showers and maybe a stray thunderstorm up north along the Iron Range. Tomorrow temperatures will warm into upper 70s to lower 80s. This will be the warmest day this week before heading into the weekend.

A larger round of showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday. As of now, the Storm Prediction Center has us under an isolated risk for heavy rain, hail, and stronger winds Friday. Please stay tuned to see how this situation unfolds. By the weekend cooler air along with sunshine returns. Highs on Saturday will likely be much cooler by the lake due to an onshore lake flow. Our next chance of rain returns Monday
